remains ~ candlelight

when winter whispers
endings of summer
when lush leaves turn brown
my dreams, they drown
my hopes, they hush
can’t feel much
and yet
withered
wasted
I
search
my
soul
to
know
why
beyond the end, love remains

    1. Hey Aishwarya…thanks so much. I’m glad you liked it. Trying out new forms is making me think sideways …and for a writer…that’s a good thing right 😉

  1. This is gorgeously gorgeously written! I especially like; “when lush leaves turn brown my dreams, they drown,”.. but oh.. when they resurface .. are better.. life has a mysterious way of working itself out 😉

Thank you so much for writing to the prompt. 💝💝
