This is not a banyan tree
Her arms span a hundred years
of stories as you turn her every leaf
rustling up rememberances
from her soul as she smiles
or dabs a teardrop that drips
her secret sadness to be whispered into the earth

You blow my mind! This is unreal in its fantastic’ness.
And I seriously can’t believe that you did both d’Verse prompts in one poem ๐คฏ

A tender tribute. It took me googling the banyon tree and I found that it is a very special tree historically and spiritually. Your quadrille echoes that and I enjoyed the personification.

Thank you Mish…I’m glad you liked it. Yes the banyan is like a planet within itself.
