It seems as though you’re still summer
sunshining your way past the din
of Time, tattooing yourself
on my wild wanton skin
locking forever
all our whatifs
as though you
may still
stay

This is wistful and nicely done. My favorite part is “sunshining your way past the din / of Time”

And in California, we are ready for summer to leave. Having grown up in the Midwest, however, I feel the emotion behind your poem, ss. I loved the imagery of these three lines, especially your use of a noun as a verb.
